This policy explains how Chad Weiner, the operator of D365 Videos, handles information associated with visits to d365videos.com. D365 Videos is a personal blog about Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and Copilot.
Information you choose to provide
If you use the Contact form, you provide your name, email address, reason for contacting me, and message. The form sends the message to my email inbox so I can respond. Sending a Contact message does not subscribe you to the newsletter.
If you leave a comment on a post, the site collects the information shown in the comment form. WordPress also processes technical information, such as your IP address and browser user agent, to help with moderation and spam detection. Comments and their associated data may remain on the site until removed.
If you subscribe to the D365 Videos newsletter, your email address is sent to Mailchimp (an Intuit service) and labeled for D365 Videos updates. Mailchimp sends a confirmation email; you must confirm before you are subscribed. Newsletter signup is separate from the Contact form, and signing up here is not consent to newsletters from unrelated sites. You can unsubscribe through the link in any newsletter email. See Intuit’s privacy statement for information about its handling of data.
Analytics, security, and embedded content
The site uses Google Analytics through Site Kit to understand visits and improve its content. Google may process information about your browser, device, and use of the site, including through cookies or similar technologies. See Google’s Privacy Policy. Your browser settings or privacy tools may let you restrict cookies and tracking.
The site’s hosting and security tools, including Wordfence, may process technical information such as IP addresses, requested pages, and browser details to deliver the site and help detect abuse. Some posts include YouTube videos. Loading an embedded video may allow YouTube to collect information under Google’s policies; following an external link takes you to that site’s own practices.
Cookies and local storage
WordPress may use cookies for login and comment-related features, and Google Analytics may use cookies or similar identifiers for measurement. When the newsletter popup is enabled, it uses your browser’s local storage to remember a dismissal or signup attempt for up to 30 days so it does not reappear on every visit. That local setting does not contain your email address. You can clear cookies and local storage through your browser.
Retention and your choices
Contact messages remain in my email account until deleted. Comments may remain published unless removed. Newsletter information remains in Mailchimp until you unsubscribe or request removal; service providers may retain some records under their own policies. Analytics and security records follow the applicable service settings and retention practices. I do not set a single retention period for all of these records.
You can unsubscribe from newsletter emails at any time. To ask about, access, correct, or request deletion of information you provided to D365 Videos, use the Contact form. I will review requests and respond as appropriate, subject to any records I need to keep for security or other legitimate reasons.
Changes to this policy
I may update this policy when the site’s features or data practices change. The date at the top shows the latest update.
